UTAH WING PAO Academy – December 8-9, 2018

Come learn the essentials of CAP public affairs, including how to write a news story or press release, photography, social media, interpersonal communication, crisis management,
writing your squadron’s public affairs plan, the equipment you need, information on the public affairs specialty track, becoming a public information officer and more!
We’ll have prizes throughout the day as well as a public affairs polo shirt for attendees.

This training is open to all CAP members.

Unit Commanders Course – December-23-24-2018

Detailed Description of Event/Contact Information:

Welcome to the new and improved Unit Commanders Course! UCC is Civil Air Patrol’s (CAP) primary course for new and aspiring squadron commanders (as well as group commanders). It is designed to ease the transition from serving on squadron staff to becoming the commander, leader and link to higher headquarters (HHQ). This class begins 22-Dec-2018 at 0800 thru 1700, then begins again on 23-Dec-2018 at 0800 and ends at 1200 with a graduation and certificate.
The objective of the UCC is to build a cadre of well-trained officers who are prepared to lead and manage at the squadron level. Graduates will be able to weave the management responsibilities of command with the leadership skills necessary to build and encourage their team of dedicated members from all walks of life and of all ages to accomplish CAP’s mission and squadron objectives.

Registration must be completed by using form CAPF 17 no later than 19-Nov-2018 and submitted to kenprince.cap@gmail.com
